Art Rastinehad, DO, is a nationally recognized interventional urologist specializing in image-guided diagnosis and minimally invasive treatments for prostate disease. He serves as Vice Chair of Urology at Lenox Hill Hospital and System Director for Prostate Cancer at Northwell Health.

 

He trained at the National Cancer Institute as an interventional urologic oncologist and is noted as the first urologist to be dual fellowship-trained in urologic oncology and interventional radiology. His clinical work spans focal therapy for prostate cancer, MRI-targeted diagnostics, and prostate artery embolization (PAE).

  • Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE) — Minimally invasive treatment option for BPH; program leadership and publications from a urologist’s perspective. 

  • Focal Therapy for Prostate Cancer — Program leadership and innovation in MRI-guided/targeted focal therapies (e.g., laser ablation, HIFU/IRE) and outcomes research. 

  • MRI–Ultrasound Fusion Diagnostics — Expertise in image-guided prostate biopsy and staging. 

  • Interventional Urologic Oncology — Image-guided therapies and minimally invasive oncologic procedures; dual fellowship background combining urologic oncology and interventional radiology.
